The new Backyard Battleground serves as an interactive hub and online social space that the entire game revolves around. For those keeping count, there are over 100 characters available to be unlocked in GW2, and if you’ve already done so in the original game, those (and their abilities) will absolutely carry over.įor those looking to just get playing, you can choose a plant or a zombie and jump right in for some co-op or competitive action, but there’s much more to the game than that. PopCap Vancouver added a half-dozen new character classes (3 zombies, 3 plants), a metric ton of character customization and unlockables, several new modes and the much requested ability to play solo.
